The red Hyundai Eon, owned by Army reservist Vhon Tanto, was processed by members of the Scene of the Crime Operatives, according to a report of dzBB's Tuesday Niu.

Police said the car was parked at the house of Tanto's sister, Fatima Leano, in Kirang, Aritao town.

Leano, however, had no idea that her brother was going to abandon the vehicle and boarded a bus to Manila on Wednesday.

"Nung dinala doon. Ang sabi ay iiwanan lang at may pupuntahan lang," said PNP Highway Patrol Group director Senior Supt. Antonio Gardiola in a press conference.

Gardiola said the bus carrying Tanto, his wife and child, arrived in Manila at 5 p.m. Wednesday.

The Manila Police District has already launched a manhunt operation against Tanto over the killing of biker Mark Vincent Garalde, who died from multiple gunshot wounds following a road altercation on Monday night.

Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada, on the other hand, offered a P100,000 reward for any information that could lead to Tan's arrest. —Virgil Lopez/NB, GMA News
