JUST IN - SENATOR ALAN CAYETANO SLAMS ABS-CBN FOR BIAS REPORT AGAINST PRESIDENT DUTERTE. MUST WATCH THIS!

Senator Alan Peter Cayetano has issued an open letter to a television network questioning its credibility and perceived bias against the President Rodrigo Duterte and his administration.

In a Facebook post, Cayetano criticized ABS-CBN for posting a news article “To believe, or not to believe, President Duterte?” written by Agence France-Presse on its website.

“There you go again. In this news article all those you mentioned have been discussed, debunked or at least explained. You know very well that taking someone seriously and taking someone literally are two different things,” Cayetano wrote on Facebook.

“Yes we always take our President seriously but not always literally. So what’s the point of your article?” asked Cayetano, who is part of the President’s delegation to Cambodia and Singapore.

Cayetano said when then President Aquino offered to be run over by the train if the railway to Cavite is not completed, the television network did not question his statement.

“Did u harp on this or ask if he was believable? Did you call him to task for his statement?” he said.

Moreover, Cayetano said ABS-CBN management claimed it was “neutral” in the last elections although the network showed its “favorites.”

He said the timing of ABS-CBN’s publication of the anti-Duterte article seemed to be “perfect” amid Vice President Leni Robredo’s move to unify the opposition as well as Filipino-American Loida Nicholas’ call for President Duterte to resign so she could take over.

“The coincidence is striking to say the least. The President is abroad working hard to protect Filipinos working abroad, inviting foreign investments and building relationships. It’s an international practice not to hit the President when he is representing the Country abroad, since hitting him means hitting the Country he represents,” he said.

“Yet you fire away! So May I respectfully ask… When to believe and not to believe ABS-CBN?” said Cayetano.
