Manila Standard columnist and UP Diliman graduate Jojo Robles hit Senator Franklin Drilon on the senator's stand on whether or not his fellow Liberal Party ally, Sen. Leila De Lima, should be jailed.

Robles’s comment came after Drilon, whom Robles called “Porky,” defended De Lima from issues of her possible arrest because of the possibility that the lady senator is being dragged in a “political tool, propaganda.”

The “big man of the senate” is quoted to have said, “[We] must be wary of the possibility that criminal cases are being used as political tool, propaganda, and smokescreen or distractions for the public.”

Comparing his speech during the indictment of Juan Ponce Enrile, Jinggoy Estrada, and Bong Revilla in 2014, Drilon said, “[It is] part of the constitutional and legal process, which we must accept. The search for the truth may be painful, but this is a process that strengthens our government institutions and reinforces the trust and confidence of our people in our justice system.”

He added that the Philippine government is “a government of laws, not me. And no one is above the law.”

Robles then ended his post by saying "Sa sobrang kapal ng mukha nitong si Porky, hindi tatanggapin ng Pepeton's para ibentang pulutan, kasi malulugi sila. Punyeta."

It is for these seemingly contradicting points that Robles blasted Drilon in his Facebook page. As of this writing, the post has since gathered at least 2400 reaction and has been shared 945 times.
