UP Board of Regent Member Lambasted Riza Hontiveros: 'Nakadrugs ka, teh?'..MUST WATCH THIS!
University of the Philippines student regent Raoul Manuel in his Facebook page lambasted Senator Risa Hontiveros after the latter claimed that she moved out of the senate majority "out of principle".
The very first Summa Cum Laude of UP Visayas said that if Hontiveros was in fact for justice, then she should have been vocal about the human rights violations of the previous administration.
"Umalis daw sa majority out of principle. Ayaw daw maging kasabwat ng rehimeng walang respeto sa karapatang pantao. Eh kumusta naman yung pananahimik natin sa human rights violations, extra-judicial killings, pagkakait ng lupa sa mga magsasaka, etc nung presidente si Noynoy Aquino? Ano to, selective lang dapat ang paghahanap ng hustisya?," Manuel wrote.
He said that it is evident that a change of administration is not the solution for change, claiming that several elections have passed but the people remain disappointed.
He also criticized politicians who take advantage of the people's sympathy for their own personal gain.
"Sa panahong ligalig ang naghaharing uri ay susulpot ang mga oportunistang para daw sa pagbabago pero wala namang matibay na prinsipyong pinanghahawakan. Sila ang mga "lider" na ginagamit ang pagkakataon para kunin ang simpatya ng mamamayan para makapanatili sa puder," he added.
Manuel encouraged vigilance and movement from the masses, as he believes that it is the only real solution to the wayward political system of the country.
Just recently, Hontiveros went to Sydney Australia where she met with the Filipino community. Many netizens criticized Hontiveros for dissing her own country abroad. She held an open forum and had a verbal tussle with a certain Lotti Dilag, an OFW based in Australia.
