In an interview, Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary Vitaliano N. Aguirre II discussed the controversial alleged cheating of the ballots for the Presidential and Vice Presidential race last year.

For starters, the secretary reiterated that, due to the laws of the court, protesting the ballots would mean that the camp of Ferdinand "Bongbong" Romualdez Marcos Jr. would have to shoulder the expenses.

He also said that, by the looks of it, there is a statistical improbability when it comes to the ballot count. He claims that is a clear basis for a protest.

The interviewer then commented about how Vice President Leni Robredo was late with the deadline for the counter-protest.

The secretary answered that the representative of the Vice President was trying to convince the court that the VP should not have to pay as she is counter-protesting. He added that it is still the call of the SC whether or not that would be followed.
